New Beginning

6 years later

Hello everybody, I'm Juan Venegas and I'm a Software Developer, mostly focused on Game Development.

Before I became a full time game developer I was trying to find what to do with my life going from one job to another, ironically many of those jobs didn't have to do anything with software development. It was fun for some time but at some point I realized that we were only 'playing' as entrepreneurs.

Then I found this 'school' where I found my ex-boss, an amazing programmer, and he hired me. From there we worked in multiple projects, I'll talk about them later, maybe...

In the middle I did another project that was very difficult personally and came with a lot of challenges that I didn't expect. If I told my younger self that I would live those things I wouldn't believe it.

Professionally speaking there were ups and downs, but surely I learned a lot, and after 6 years I decided to quit, because at some point it was just hurting myself and I felt like I was going nowhere.

I'm currently at that point in which if somebody asks me if it was a good or bad decision I'll just say, 'I don't know...', it will depend on what I do after making the decision, and I think that applies to all decisions.

I decided to start a new game project, giving myself another chance in this industry, doing things differently, but mainly with another mindset (I'm now going to therapy).
